A Hawaiian cultural encounter, Ho‘olauna allows us to share our legacy; to share our stories. Sand is used to hold our experiences, thoughts, and feelings that are then combined to create a shared memory. It allows connections to be made and barriers to be removed, creating a foundation of respect and understanding.
