I thoroughly enjoy travel and tourism—it’s fascinating and continually evolving. For 32 years, I’ve been fortunate to gain extensive experience in all aspects of our hospitality industry. Prior to joining and becoming co-owner of Island Partners Hawai`i, my career in Hawai`i began in 1983 with Hawaiian Airlines and progressed to American Express Travel Related Services, Budget Rent a Car-Asia/Pacific, and the Hawai`i Visitors and Convention Bureau.

I am passionate about Island Partners Hawai‘i. and the opportunity it provides to share the diversity and aloha of these Islands with our valued customers and their guests.

Being with my family and friends is always special…my wife, Dana, and our children, Catherine, Joseph, and Nicholas (who are all quite unique even though they’re “triplets”, are freshmen in three colleges across the U.S.), have all been born and raised here in Hawai`i.

You might find us making dinner or trying out restaurants, going to the movies, spending time on our family’s ranch in Waimea, on the Island of Hawai`i or traveling…

I “live to eat”, enjoy golfing, playing bridge, traveling…

Hawai`i has always felt like home for me…from my first visit in 1976, to our wedding on O`ahu in 1980 and finally moving here permanently in 1983.

My deep-rooted “sense of place and belonging” grows each day from the genuine, caring and accepting nature of Hawai`i’s people, those smiles “of the heart”, its natural, breathtaking beauty, seeing a rainbow almost every day, being part of this
true melting pot of people and cultures…sharing aloha.
